The
domain ...
The Mas de Cadenet is located at the bottom of the Sainte Victoire mountain, near Aix en Provence.
The Mas de Cadenet is a typically Provencal estate.
The name Mas means "domain" in provencal (the local dialect); and Cadenet comes from "cade", a shrub from the juniper family. Mas de Cadenet could be traduced by "Domain of Cade".
The domain is composed of 45 hectares of vines settled on 250 meters height and has a south exposition. 40 hectares are classified in AOC Sainte Victoire and 5 hectares are planted in AOC Côtes de Provence.
The average age of the vineyard is 35 years old and oldest vines are 70 years old. The age of our vines is a key factor of the wines regularity and quality.
The yield of the wines is naturally kept low and ensure high quality wines (45 hl/ha in average).
Mas de Cadenet produces 50% rosé, 40% rouge, 10% blanc. |
