La
famille Négrel ...
Mas de Cadenet represents a long-lasting love story between a family and its land.
In 1813, the property was purchased by Jean-Jacques Négrel and his brothers. Generation after generation, the Négrel family has devoted itself heart and soul to winegrowing, and been constantly working to improve its vineyard, handing down knowledge in vinification from father to son.
Historically, wine and its association with this Mas is much older still. Fragments of amphorae dating back to roman times have been found on the estate by Gaston Négrel (5th generation).
Today Guy Négrel runs the estate helped by his children Maud & Matthieu.
Faithfully to the spirit of their ancestors, vinifications are traditional and inventive. The innovation is a tradition at Mas de Cadenet!
Symbol of this spirit, the Mas Négrel Cadenet rosé is the first rosé aged in oak barrels, it was a new way of vinificating with ancestral tools.
