The Mas de Cadenet is located in a breathtaking landscape at the bottom of the Sainte\u00a0Victoire Mountain, near Aix-en-Provence. This scenery was a never ending inspiration\u00a0for the Master of Impressionism, Paul C\u00e9zanne. So we could say that the \u201cpictureperfect\u201d\u00a0Estate is like a painting!<\/p>\n

The vine is inextricably linked to the land\u2019s History as demonstrated by the\u00a0fragments of amphorae dating back to Roman Times found on the property.
\nBut the history of the Mas de Cadenet starts in 1813 when the Negrel Family\u00a0acquires the Estate.\u00a0The Mas de Cadenet is emblematic of Provence. It is a longstanding \u201cLove Story\u201d\u00a0between a family and its land. Today Guy Negrel runs the Estate with the help of\u00a0his children Maud and Matthieu Negrel.<\/p>\n

The vineyard is on a south facing plateau, 250 meters above sea level. Five hectares\u00a0are in the C\u00f4tes de Provence Appellation and forty hectares are on the subappellation\u00a0C\u00f4tes de Provence of Sainte Victoire.
\nThe Mas de Cadenet produces 60% of ros\u00e9 wines, 30% of red wines and 10% of\u00a0white wines. The grape varieties grown in the vineyard are Rolle, Syrah, Grenache,\u00a0Cinsault and Cabernet-Sauvignon. The yield of the vines is naturally kept low and\u00a0ensures high quality wines (45hl\/ha on average).<\/p>\n

Rating, critics and selective distribution has made Mas de Cadenet one of the most prestigous wine of Provence.<\/p>\n

\nThe name Mas means Estate in Proven\u00e7al (the local dialect), and Cadenet comes from
